Total amount of the registered documents
Total amount of the registered documents of title made up 232606 as of 01.07.2008: 88177 patents for inventions, including registered inventor’s certificates and 20-year after short ones; 33620 patents for utility models; 16915 patents for industrial designs; 93878 certificates for trademarks and service marks, including divisional applications; 11 integrated circuit topographies; 3 registrations of qualified indication of origin of goods; 2 certificates for the right of use the registered qualified indication of origin.
Performance in June, 2008
In June, 2008 State Department of Intellectual Property received 461 applications for inventions, 642 applications for utility models, 1564 applications for trademarks and service marks under national procedure, 985 - under the Madrid Agreement. Total amount of the registered documents in June, 2008 made up 2667 documents of title.
"Promyslova Vlasnist", No.11, 2008, No.12, 2008
Issues 11/2008 and 12/2008 of the Official Bulletin "Promyslova Vlasnist" have been published. This Official Bulletin  contains the information on registered titles of protection for industrial property rights.
Regular issue of "Intelektualna Vlasnist" ("Intellectual Property") magazine

A new issue of "Intelectualna Vlasnist" ("Intellectual Property") magazine has come outwith the following headings to be found in it: "Topical Problem", "Copyright and Related Rights", "Economics of Intellectual Property", "Innovations and Market", "Rights Enforcement", "International Experience", "Point of View", "Extramural Seminar", "Consultations", "Facts and Events". As usual, interesting and useful materials under each heading are waiting for the readers of the magazine.

"Promyslova Vlasnist", No.9, 2008

Issue 9/2008 of the Official Bulletin "Promyslova Vlasnist" has been published. It contains the information on registered titles of protection for industrial property rights.

Total amount of the registered documents of title made up 229938 as of 01.06.2008: 87815 patents for inventions, including registered inventor’s certificates and 20-year after short ones; 32836 patents for utility models; 16723 patents for industrial designs; 92548 certificates for trademarks and service marks, including divisional applications; 11 integrated circuit topographies; 3 registrations of qualified indication of origin of goods; 2 certificates for the right of use the registered qualified indication of origin.

Performance in May, 2008

In May, 2008 State Department of Intellectual Property received 564 applications for inventions, 1188 applications for utility models, 3577 applications for trademarks and service marks under national procedure, 881 - under the Madrid Agreement. Total amount of the registered documents in May, 2008 made up 2809 documents of title.

The International Bureau of WIPO announced that, due to the accession of the Syrian Arab Republic to the Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Industrial Designs which took effect as from May 7, 2008, the new updated forms for the filing of applications for international registration of industrial designs (DM/1), recording of a limitation (DM/3), renewal (DM/4) and recording of renunciation (DM/5) are available on the WIPO web site at http://www.wipo.int/hague/en/forms/index.html (in English) and http://www.wipo.int/hague/en/forms/index.html (in French). Paper copies of the new forms are available from the International Bureau of WIPO on request.

New commissioner of the Korean Intellectual Property Office

As from May 1, 2008 a new commissioner of the Korean Intellectual Property Office, Dr. Jung-Sik Koh was appointed. In his letter to Mr. Paladii, Chairman of the State Department of Intellectual Property, he expressed a hope for future close co-operation between our two Offices for the benefit of the development of our respective Offices and the global intellectual property system.
