Alla Zharinova (Krasovska) Director of State Enterprise ”Ukrainian Institute of Industrial Property” (Ukrpatent) She was born on December 8, 1958 in Kirovograd to an office worker's family. Education In 1980 she graduated with honors from Kirovograd Agricultural Engineering Institute and obtained a Mechanical Engineer degree. In 2002 graduated from Interagency Advanced Training Institute at the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”, specialization - “Intellectual Property”, and was qualified as an intellectual property manager. Graduated from Odessa National Academy of Law in 2007 with a full high education in jurisprudence and obtained a lawyer qualification. Labor Activities From 1980 until 1993 she held engineer positions at CDTB of Kirovograd Radio Devices Factory, worked as a research officer and lecturer at Kirovograd Agricultural Engineering Institute. In 1993-1999 was a director of “Info” Production and Testing Enterprise in Kirovograd. Starting from the end of 1999 she has been working in Kiev, at first as a deputy director of Ukrainian Scientific-and-Engineering & Economic Information Institute, and starting from August of 2000 – as a first deputy director of State Enterprise “Ukrainian Institute of Industrial Property”. In 2001 she was appointed a director of that Institute. Awards She was awarded with the Diploma and Gratuity from the mayor of Kyiv City, with Diplomas from the Ukrainian Ministry of Education and Science and from the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for her valuable contribution to assure development of the state system for legal protection of intellectual property. Scientific Activities She is engaged constantly in research activity, has over 30 scientific works in the field of intellectual property. On December 14 she was conferred the candidate of science degree in economics and enterprise organization and management Family Status She is married and has three sons and daughter.
